Business between Denmark, Greenland and the North Atlantic

Turning complex opportunities into practical business.

I’m Poul Bloch Jensen. Through Nanu, I develop businesses, projects and partnerships between Denmark, Greenland and the North Atlantic.

My work spans trade, logistics, digital operations, strategy and long-term societal projects.

How I create value

A practical pattern from 25 years of work

See the practical opportunity

I look for useful value hidden between markets, organisations, suppliers or local conditions.

Connect the right people and conditions

I help shape the commercial, operational and local setup needed for a project to move forward.

Turn ideas into workable steps

I focus on what can actually be done: scope, partners, delivery, risk and the next practical decision.

Values

Grounded judgement and follow-through.

I work best when trust, direct communication and mutual respect are part of the assignment.

Picture: Kapisillit, a small settlement in the fjords near Nuuk, reminds me what good projects require: patience, respect for local conditions and the humility to let reality lead.

How to use me

Three ways in.

Most useful assignments begin with a specific problem, project or opportunity that needs clearer structure and practical movement.

1) Give me a defined problem or scope, and I will assess quickly whether I can help move it forward.

2) Bring me in to shape the strategy, paper or commercial structure needed to restart progress.

3) Use a short paid diagnostic or interim role when the next step is unclear and the project needs direction before execution.

If the fit is right, we agree a practical next step.

Discuss a Project
Proof, not pitch

Named work that can be checked.

Selected examples.

Proof beats a pitch. Here's what actually happened, named and checkable.

Working with facilitation.

The past two years I've participated in the annual facilitators event, which is an event for everyone interested in all the broad aspects of facilitation in Denmark.

Fisheries with international companies.

Ive worked with international companies in order to be a part of the development of fisheries in Greenland.

The Seaweed company.

Together with a Nederland based company i have been the anchor for the Greeland testing and operations from 2021.

Experience across different worlds

Cross decipline

I am most useful when a project crosses disciplines, markets or organisations and needs someone who can connect the commercial, operational and local pieces.

1

Business development

market entry and local establishment.
2

Sourcing

suppliers, procurement and practical supply routes.
3

Trade and logistics

for Greenland and other remote locations.
4

Project planning

scope, negotiation and coordination.
5

Digital operations

websites, e-commerce and practical systems.
6

Local representation

relationships, meetings and hands-on problem-solving.

Item No.

01. Greenland.

Greenland requires local understanding, patience and practical logistics.

Distance, weather, infrastructure, culture and relationships affect almost every commercial decision.

Item No.

02. Denmark.

Danish and European solutions often need adaptation before they become workable in Greenland or the North Atlantic.

Item No.

03. Canada / US

Canadian and US sourcing can open useful options, but transport, documentation, timing and risk must be designed into the solution from the beginning.

I work with the full chain, not just the idea or purchase price:

Projects in the North need practical answers.

  • What is actually needed?
  • Who needs to be involved?
  • How will it be sourced and delivered?
  • What is the full landed cost?
  • Who carries the risk?
  • Can it work in daily operation?

From idea to workable project.

Trust.
  • Local conversations.
  • Clear expectations.
  • Mutual value.
Direction.
  • Purpose.
  • Milestones.
Execution.
  • Discovery.
  • Test phase.
  • Main phase.
  • Handoff.
Structure.
  • NDA.
  • Letter of intent.
  • Scope.
  • Agreement.

Projects & commercial development

Projects and commercial development

I have worked with projects in trade, food, fisheries, seaweed, tourism, digital platforms, local development and supply to Greenland.

My contribution is usually to make the project clearer and more workable: shape the concept, establish the commercial structure, find partners, support negotiations or take responsibility for part of the execution.

Trade and sourcing

Through NanuTrade and related projects, I work with sourcing and supplying products for customers in Greenland.

The work is not only finding the product. The solution must still make sense after handling, documentation, freight, delivery time and risk are included.

Digital operations

I help small and medium-sized organisations build practical digital operations: websites, e-commerce, CRM, workflows and administrative tools.

The aim is simple systems that people understand and use — not another layer of complexity that remains unfinished.
